Brief of the client company

Aerospace Composites Malaysia Sdn Bhd. (ACM), supplier of composite products and subassemblies to the global aerospace industry, is a strategic alliance between U.S. joint venture partners Hexcel and Boeing.

Established in 1998, the joint venture is based in Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah, Malaysia. The USD 32 million ACM plant was officially opened by Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad in September 2002.

Reneon’s contribution to ACM

Reneon Technologies has installed 60 power meters to monitor the overall power consumption at the ACM factory as well as individual equipment power consumption for a holistic view of the energy utilization.We provide equipment and installation services for monitoring various electrical parameters of buildings and other facilities. Besides that, we also provide data collection services to collect information on the energy consumption of a particular building or facility, including electrical, mechanical and environmental-oriented data.

A cloud-based energy monitoring system was deployed to assist ACM  in identifying wastage and to perform benchmarking on their facility. The system is able to track the facilities performance precisely every month to ensure the operation is  running as efficiently as possible. The system is also used in testing various energy saving solutions to evaluate their effectiveness and thereby we can implement maximum demand management to allow ACM to maximise saving from these projects we proposed.

Reneon develop a Holistic and reliable approach towards energy management, primarily through the following actions:

1) Preliminary Assessment of the Electricity Consumption at a Particular Building

  • Review of 6-12 months of utility bill - Site visit to the building

 

2) Installation of cloud-based energy monitoring solution with real-time update and alerts

  • Provides a better energy utilization outlook at the building 

  • Report generation & alerts also allows the end-users to take proactive steps to manage their energy consumption

 

3) Detailed consultancy & proposed energy efficiency solutions 

  • Suggest and propose Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) to be implemented by the end-users 

  • Our energy efficiency plan will be broken down to low-cost measures, medium-cost measures & high-cost measures
